The 2026 Nigeria Spelling Bee season continues to gather momentum as Gombe State hosted its State Qualifier on January 31st at Kids Window Schools, Gombe.
The competition brought together brilliant young spellers from across the state in what can only be described as another battle of champions. Participants competed with remarkable skill, confidence, and determination. The best spellers will get to represent Gombe State at the National Finals of the Nigeria Spelling Bee.
At the National Finals, spellers stand the opportunity to win up to ₦1,000,000 in prizes, alongside exciting scholarships and cash rewards for both spellers and their coaches.
And the journey goes even further.
All National Finalists will have the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the African Spelling Bee, competing with top spellers from across the continent.
As a reminder of what lies ahead, last season’s Nigerian champions will be travelling to Zimbabwe from 18th to 21st March 2026 to represent Nigeria at the 2026 African Spelling Bee. 🇳🇬🌍
