GOAL OF THE CONTEST

The goal of the Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition is to promote literacy among Nigerian student by rewarding learning with amazing prizes and scholarships.

Haven been charged by the Federal Ministry of Education to produce the best of Nigeria and project them as Team Nigeria at international stages, we aim to bring out the very best wordsmiths and readers to do Nigeria Proud.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• The competition is aimed at improving learning, both spelling and comprehension of concepts.
• A Study Guide has been prepared to guide spellers and teach rules of spelling to help them be better spellers.
• Spellers are actively engaged in building communication & public speaking skills and self-esteem.
• The participants at the finale are drawn from all over the states of the federation.

CULTURAL DIVERSITY

As part of our contributions to national integration, spellers are camped for days to learn the cultures of other parts of the country with a view of expanding the appreciation of our cultural diversity.

Spellers are expected to interact with other youngsters from across the federation with a view of learning the diverse cultures of Nigeria.
