Spellers from across Nigeria converge each year for the Nigeria Spelling Bee after a nation-wide competition starting at the state levels to regional championships. In the last two seasons, the Minister of Education and the Minister of Culture and Information has graced both National and Regional competitions through their respective representatives.
The organization has gained the official endorsement of the Federal Ministry of Education to conduct the Nigeria Spelling Bee across the country and send spellers to represent Nigeria at International competitions such as the African Spelling Bee.
The overall objective of the championship is to stimulate an interest in reading and learning amongst students and to expose them to different Nigerian cultures through the learning of various Nigerian languages.
The competition in the last session reached thousands of spellers across the country and hundreds of thousands of spectators both at event venues and our media platforms. This presents an opportunity to showcase your brand for marketing purposes or as part of your company’s CSR program.
