The 2026 Nigeria Spelling Bee State-Level Competitions continued in grand style as Akwa Ibom State hosted its qualifier on February 17th at Deeper Life High School, Uyo Campus.
The competition brought together exceptional young spellers from across the state in a thrilling battle of champions. With remarkable confidence, composure, and spelling mastery, participants competed for the prestigious opportunity to represent Akwa Ibom State at the National Finals.
At the National Finals, spellers will compete for up to ₦1,000,000 in prizes, alongside exciting scholarships and cash rewards for both spellers and their coaches.
Beyond the national stage, all National Finalists will have the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the African Spelling Bee, competing with the brightest young minds from across the continent.
And as a reminder of what lies ahead, last season’s Nigerian champions will be travelling to Zimbabwe from 18th to 21st March 2026 to represent Nigeria at the 2026 African Spelling Bee. 🇳🇬🌍
