The 2026 Nigeria Spelling Bee State-Level Competitions have officially begun — and Bauchi State proudly set the pace!
The Bauchi State Qualifier marked the official kickoff of the 2026 season, and it was truly a battle of champions, held at Cornelia Connelly College Bauchi,. Schools and independent spellers from across the state showed up prepared, confident, and ready to compete for one goal — a chance to represent Bauchi State at the National Finals, and of course make their schools and parents proud.
At the National Finals, spellers will stand the chance to win up to ₦1,000,000 in prizes, alongside exciting scholarships and cash rewards for both spellers and their coaches.
And the journey doesn’t stop there, all National Finalists will also have the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the African Spelling Bee, competing against the best young spellers from across the continent.
Even more exciting — last season’s Nigerian champions will be travelling to Zimbabwe from 18th to 21st March 2026 to represent Nigeria at the 2026 African Spelling Bee Championships! 🇳🇬🌍
