The Ekiti State qualifier of the Nigeria Spelling Bee has just been conducted today with the best spellers emerging from the state to represent Ekiti at the South-West Regional level of the contest.

After 4 round of testing the spelling prowess of the spellers, the below-listed spellers came up top among their peers:

  • Idowu Oluwanifemi victoria (1762) of Peace and Joy Group of Schools, Okere Ekiti
  • Amu Temiloluwa (1771) of Petoa City College
  • Amadi Chiamaka Omotoyosi (1777) Mater Christi Catholic Girl’s High School, Igede-Ekiti
  • Ayodeji Praise Ayomiposi (1799) of Mater Christi Catholic Girl’s High School, Igede-Ekiti
  • Ojo Oluwapelumi Emmanuel (1835) 0f Petoa City College
  • Bamigboye Jemima (1837) of Petoa City College, Ekute
  • Awoleke Toluwalope Faith (1858) of Deeper Life High School, Ado-Ekiti Campus
  • Ojo Olarewaju Julius (1862) of Glory International Secondary School, Igbara-Odo
  • Ojo Samuel Oluwadunsin (1863) of Glory International Secondary School, Igbara-Odo

These spellers will compete alongside other state champions from the South-West zone of the country such as Lagos, Ondo, Osun and Oyo states for the chance to be one of the National Finalists who can win the Grand Prize of N1,000,000 and represent Nigeria at the African Spelling Bee in Mombasa Kenya.
