Students from across Nigeria gather each year for the National Finals of the Nigeria Spelling Bee. These students have proven themselves to be the National Best Spellers across the various states of the country after competing at both state and regional levels of the championship.

  The overall objective of the championship is to stimulate interest amongst students in general reading, learning languages and other subjects that will broaden their horizons and expose them to different Nigerian cultures.

For the 2019 Season, Ritman University Ikot Ekpene, Akwa-Ibom State will be hosting the 60 National Finalists from all the geopolitical regions in Nigeria.

Spellers will have the chance to tour the educational facilities of the university with a view of learning more about the various academic opportunities that await them at the undergraduate level.
